TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan: 100-Day Campaign continues across Pulwama

PULWAMA, MARCH 31: Under the ongoing TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan – 100 Days Campaign, the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP) Pulwama has intensified its efforts by conducting a series of Active Case Finding (ACF) camps across various parts of the district to strengthen tuberculosis screening and awareness.

The camps were organized in Newa, Panjran, Toukuna, Tumlahal, Saimoo Tral, Dadsara Tral, Rathsuna, Sharshali and Chek Rajpora, where dedicated health teams carried out TB screening, sputum sample collection, awareness sessions and counseling among the local population.

During these camps, residents were sensitized about the symptoms of tuberculosis, importance of early detection, and availability of free testing and treatment services under NTEP. Individuals exhibiting symptoms such as persistent cough, fever, weight loss and night sweats were encouraged to undergo screening.

The activities were conducted under the supervision of the District Tuberculosis Centre Pulwama, with active involvement of field staff and healthcare workers who ensured effective community mobilization and coverage of vulnerable groups.

The Health Department has urged the general public to extend full cooperation to the screening teams and seek timely medical consultation in case of any TB-related symptoms.
