DC Kulgam presides over Census Training Programme for District/Charge Level Officers

KULGAM, MARCH 30: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Shahzad Alam, today presided over the District Level Training Programme for District and Charge Level Officers/Officials for Census (Phase-I: House Listing & Housing Census – HLO) at the Conference Hall, Kulgam.

 

The three-day training programme, scheduled for March 30, 31 and April 6, aims to strengthen the preparedness of officers and officials for the upcoming Census exercise and ensure effective implementation of census-related activities across the district.

 

Addressing the participants, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of conducting the Census process with accuracy, transparency, and dedication. He highlighted that the Census serves as a vital tool for policy formulation, planning, and equitable allocation of resources, thereby playing a crucial role in the overall development process.

 

During the training programme, officers were briefed on various aspects of the Census exercise, including the roles and responsibilities of field functionaries, procedures for data collection, and coordination mechanisms required for the smooth conduct of the House Listing and Housing Census (HLO) phase.

 

The DC urged the participating officers to actively engage in the training sessions and ensure that the Census exercise is carried out efficiently and systematically across all areas of the district.

 

The programme is being attended by District and Charge Level Officers/Officials from various departments.
