KUPWARA, MARCH 25: Three-day census training programme for Phase-I was today successfully concluded in district Kupwara.
The programme was launched by the Deputy Commissioner Kupwara (Principal Census Officer), Shrikant Suse at Town Hall Kupwara. The training sessions were aimed to prepare Charge Officers-Tehsildars, Executive Officers and Census Clerks for the first phase of the Census, namely Houselisting Operations, scheduled for June 2027.
The training was led by Joint Director- Census Directorate, Arun Kumar supported by Nodal Officer, Shafi Mir and District Coordinator, Mayur Kumar.
Participants received detailed guidance on training enumerators and supervisors, creating and managing Houselisting Blocks on the CMMS Portal and preparing Village and Town Directories.
The training programme was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (District Nodal Officer for Census 2027) Kupwara, Gulzar Ahmad Khan, ADC Handwara, Javed Naseem Masoodi; CPO Kupwara (Additional District Census Officer), Parvaiz Ahmad; SDM Lolab, Mudassir Ahmad; Tehsildars/EOs and other concerned officers across the district.
