Three-Day Census 2027 Phase-I training programme concludes at Kathua

KATHUA, MARCH 23: The District Administration Kathua today successfully concluded a three-day district-level training programme for District and Charge Level Officers/Officials for Census 2027 Phase-I (House Listing & Housing Census – HLO) at the Conference Hall of DC Office Complex Kathua.

The sessions focused on sensitizing officers about their roles and responsibilities, key concepts of House Listing Operations, and hands-on training on the Census Management & Monitoring System (CMMS) and HLBS web applications.

The training was organised in multiple sessions on March 16, 18 and 23, 2026, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all operational aspects for the smooth and efficient conduct of Census 2027 Phase-I.

Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rajesh Sharma, who is also the Principal Census Officer for the district, underscored the significance of accurate and reliable data collection and stressed the need for close coordination among field-level functionaries. He exhorted the officers to discharge their duties with utmost dedication and professionalism to ensure the successful conduct of the upcoming Census.

 The programme concluded with interactive discussions, addressing field-level challenges and clarifying operational queries.

Among others, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kathua Vishavjeet Singh; District Statistics & Evaluation Officer Kathua Sidharth Anand; District Informatics Officer, NIC Kathua Shubham Singh; Seirin Kohli, Nodal Officer; Himanshu Koul and Sanjay Kumar, District Coordinators from the Directorate of Census Operations, J&K, besides Tehsildars, Executive Officers and other officials associated with the forthcoming Census exercise participated in the training programme.
