KULGAM, MARCH 14: As part of Jal Arpan Diwas celebrations under the ongoing Jal Mahotsav Pakwada, completed water supply schemes are being formally handed over to the community.
In this regard, the Water Supply Scheme (WSS) Arigatnoo was handed over to the community in the presence of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Shahzad Alam.
During the visit, the DC, along with local residents, inspected the assets and source of the scheme and guided the community members about their responsibilities during the operation and maintenance phase.
He emphasized the importance of community participation in safeguarding the infrastructure and ensuring the sustainable functioning of the water supply scheme for the long-term benefit of the area.
Among others, Executive Engineer Jal Shakti, Ishtiyaq Hamid, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE), Block Development Officer (BDO) Pahloo, Tehsildar Pahloo, and local residents of Arigatnoo were present on the occasion.
