Exposure tour hosted for Food processing trainees

JAMMU, MARCH 12: Director Horticulture Jammu, Gul Sayed today flagged off a group of trainees here from the office of the Chief Canning and Processing Instructor (CCI) on an exposure tour.

The programme has been organized under the ATMA scheme to provide practical exposure to trainees by visiting different fruit and vegetable processing units in Jammu and nearby districts.

A total of 22 trainees are participating in the programme under the supervision of the Chief Canning and Processing Instructor   Sanjeev Kumar Karlupia and Manager-cum-Chemist Shreshta Gour.

The objective of the tour is to familiarize trainees with modern techniques of fruit and vegetable processing, value addition, preservation methods, packaging and marketing, enabling them to develop practical skills and promote entrepreneurship in the processing sector.
