KATHUA, FEBRUARY 21: Under the ongoing Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Programme for the year 2025–26, the District Industries Centre (DIC) Kathua organised an Awareness–cum–Facilitation Camp at Industrial Estate Ghatti Kathua.
The programme focused on promotion of on-the-spot facilitation of Udyam Registration for MSME units, traders and aspiring entrepreneurs to enhance formalisation and access to government support mechanisms.
The camp was held under the supervision of General Manager, DIC Kathua, Mushtaq Ahmed Chowdhary. It was coordinated by Functional Managers, Pallavi Bhardwaj and Sumit Gupta along with departmental officials including Narayan Singh, Devinder Verma and other staff members.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from industrial unit holders, traders and MSME stakeholders operating in and around Industrial Estate Ghatti. Participants were sensitised about the significance, procedures and benefits of Udyam Registration under the RAMP framework, including access to government incentives, credit facilitation, policy support and formal recognition within the MSME ecosystem.
Detailed awareness sessions were conducted to apprise stakeholders of procedural requirements and advantages of enterprise formalisation. On-the-spot registration assistance and handholding support were also extended to facilitate immediate enrolment and address the queries of participants.
The initiative aimed at strengthening MSME formalisation, improving ease of doing business and promoting entrepreneurship in the industrial landscape of Kathua district.
The programme concluded with positive feedback from stakeholders.
