Director Health Services Jammu organizes a One Day Training programme on I-RAD / e-DAR Portal

JAMMU, FEBRUARY 18: A one-day Training Programme on the i-RAD / e-DAR Portal was successfully organized at the Conference Hall of the Directorate of Health Services, Jammu under the chairmanship of Dr. Abdul Hamid Zargar, Director Health Services, Jammu and close supervision of Assistant Director Dr. Simmi.

The programme was aimed at strengthening institutional coordination and enhancing effective implementation of the i-RAD (Integrated Road Accident Database) and e-DAR (Electronic Detailed Accident Report) systems across health institutions. The initiative is part of the Government’s broader strategy to streamline road accident data collection, improve transparency and ensure timely medico-legal documentation for better policy planning and response mechanisms.

Officers and officials from various districts participated in the training, including Medico-Legal Officers and Data Entry Operators. The session emphasized the crucial role of the Health Department in uploading accurate and timely information related to road traffic accident victims, including injury details, treatment status and medico-legal reports on the portal.

A comprehensive demonstration was delivered by Prince Kishore, State Role Manager and Mohit, District Role Manager, from the Office of the State Transport Commissioner, Jammu. The technical session provided step-by-step guidance on portal login procedures, case registration, uploading of hospital data, generation of e-DAR reports and troubleshooting common operational issues. Special focus was laid on real-time data entry, maintaining data accuracy and ensuring inter-departmental coordination among Health, Police and Transport Departments.

During the interactive session, participants actively engaged with the resource persons and sought clarifications regarding practical challenges, reporting timelines, data validation and accountability mechanisms. The trainers addressed all queries in detail and encouraged participants to ensure strict adherence to guidelines for prompt and precise reporting.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, reaffirming the commitment of the Directorate of Health Services, Jammu towards efficient implementation of the i-RAD and e-DAR systems for enhanced road safety governance and public welfare.
