
BANDIPORA, FEBRUARY 09 : Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Bandipora-1, SKUAST-K, in collaboration with the Agriculture Department Bandipora, today launched a training programme for Krishi Udhyamis with the objective of strengthening their technical skills and promoting scientific agricultural practices at the field level.
The programme was attended by Krishi Udhyamis from Division Sumbal, who actively participated in the technical sessions.
The training programme was inaugurated by Dr. Tariq Sultan, Head, KVK Bandipora-1, who highlighted the importance of capacity-building initiatives and adoption of scientific approaches for improving agricultural productivity and sustainability.
Subject Matter Specialist (Vegetable Science), delivered a session on improved vegetable production practices, emphasizing better planning, resource management, and productivity enhancement.
Subject Matter Specialist (Agricultural Extension), discussed extension strategies, focusing on effective communication, outreach, and institutional linkages.
District Agriculture Officer, Bandipora, briefed the participants about ongoing departmental schemes and emphasized coordinated efforts between departments and Krishi Udhyamis. Resource Person from Agriculture Department, Bandipora, shared practical field experiences relevant to local farming conditions.
The programme witnessed active interaction, with participants appreciating the technical guidance and expert inputs.
