
JAMMU, FEBRUARY 04: The Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) on Wednesday organised a Punjabi Folk Song and Music Programme at Guru Nanak High School, Dhinday Kalan- R.S. Pura.
The programme featured enthralling performances by local folk artists, providing the audience with a vibrant and culturally enriching experience. Prominent artists who performed on the occasion included T. R. Premi – Party, Arjun Singh – Party, Kuldeep Raj – Party and Naresh Kanth. They captivated the audience with their soulful folk renditions.
Hundreds of students of the school, locals and folk song and music lovers witnessed the programme and actively enjoyed the performances. The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Sat Salarvi, while the vote of thanks was presented by the Principal of Guru Nanak High School, Dhinday Kalan.
Speaking on the occasion, Senior Editor, Sheeraza Punjabi, Popinder Singh Paras reiterated the commitment of the Academy to provide a meaningful platform to the younger generation, enabling them to remain connected with their cultural roots and rich folk traditions (Lokdhara).
The School Principal of, Darshan Lal Malhotra, appreciated the Academy for organising the enriching cultural programme in the institution which served as a great source of inspiration for students.
