BANDIPORA, FEBRUARY 03: The Handicrafts Department Bandipora organised a day-long Mega Awareness Programme and Seminar at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Aragam, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large number of local artisans and weavers.
DDC Member, Hajin B attended the programme as the chief guest and appreciated the efforts of the Handicrafts Department Bandipora for organising such awareness initiatives, stating that these programmes play a significant role in benefiting artisans and weavers at the grassroots level.
During the seminar, resource persons provided detailed information on various government schemes related to skill development, financial assistance, and market exposure. The participants were also sensitised about modern marketing strategies, e-commerce opportunities, product packaging and branding, and the importance of GI tagging.
The event was attended by the Assistant Director, Handicrafts and Handloom, Bandipora, departmental officials, and a large number of local artisans and weavers.
