DLSA Reasi organises awareness program on NALSA Veer Parivar Sahayata Yojana

REASI, JANUARY 29: An awareness program on-NALSA Veer Parivar Sahayata Yojana – 2025 was organised at the Day Care Centre-Reasi today under the leadership of Chairman, Khalil Choudhary (also Pr. District and Sessions Judge Reasi) and Secretary Pooja Gupta.

Assistant LADC Ranjeet Singh was the resource person. The participants were sensitized to the objectives, scope and benefits of the NALSA Veer Parivar Sahayata Yojana – 2025, which aims to provide legal assistance and support to the families of martyrs and armed forces personnel.

The Resource Person explained the eligibility criteria, types of legal services available under the scheme and the procedure for availing free legal aid.

Meanwhile, the PLVs of TLSC Mahore organised awareness programs on the Social Welfare Schemes at Bathoie, Dewal, Shikari . The participants were informed about different welfare schemes related to social security, women empowerment, senior citizens, children, health, education, financial assistance etc. The importance of Legal awareness and free legal aid services available through DLSA, TLSC and Legal services clinics was also highlighted.

An anti-drug outreach camp was organised at Chassana to sensitize the general masses to the harmful effects of drug abuse and the need for prevention and rehabilitation. The participants were encouraged to seek timely, confidential and stigma free assistance through the National Drug De addiction Helpline (1933), Tele MANAS- National Health Assistance and Wellness Support Helpline (14446) reinforcing a rights based and compassionate approach to recovery.

Another awareness program regarding benefits of Lok Adalats was organised at Akhli by PLVs of TLSC Katra. The masses were made aware of the process of bringing cases before the Lok Adalat, the types of matters that can be settled. The PLVs also responded to the queries of the general masses.

Similarly, a poem recitation competition was organised at Govt. Higher Secondary School-Gran. The students recited patriotic poems and expressed their feelings and point of view.
