
JAMMU JANUARY 28: The Director Horticulture Jammu (DHJ), Gul Sayed today visited the Marh area to review horticultural activities and ongoing initiatives in the region. He was accompanied by the Assistant Director Horticulture, Sunil Gupta and Horticulture Department Officer, Dr. Nazran Khan.
Later, the Director inspected the Government Fruit Plants Nursery, Raipur, where he reviewed the orchards of Dragon fruit. He also visited the Dragon Fruit Mother Block established under the HADP (P-21) scheme by beneficiary, Sidharth Daluja.
Afterward, the Director inspected different horticulture orchards in the Marh area and interacted with orchardists. He appreciated their efforts and emphasized the importance of adopting modern horticultural practices to enhance productivity and income.
The visit aimed to assess the field-level implementation of horticulture schemes and to encourage farmers to adopt high-value crops under government-supported programmes.
