
RAJOURI, JANUARY 28: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, today chaired a Block Diwas program (Public Grievance Redressal and Service Delivery Camp) at Gambhir Brahmana, aimed to address the issues and demands of the local populace in a participatory manner.
During the Block Diwas, the general public raised several demands and grievances, seeking maintenance of the PMGSY road Tundi Trar, renovation of the building of Middle School Tundi Trar, installation of an ATM, construction of bunkers, especially near educational institutions, up-gradation of Thandikassi to Patrara road, Ghambir–Khankari road, blacktopping of the road from Irwan Khaiter to Tundi Trar and establishment of a health centre at Panjgrain Upper-A and Lower-B, besides projecting other civic and developmental issues.
The District Development Commissioner listened patiently to the grievances and issued on-the-spot directions to the concerned departments for timely redressal. Emphasising efficient service delivery, the DC directed the concerned authorities to commission the Panjgrain Water Supply Scheme functional before 15th February- 2026.
In addition, the DDC inspected the infrastructure of High School Gambhir Brahmana and directed the AEE, PWD to take up the pending construction works at the earliest to ensure improved facilities for students.
The Block Diwas witnessed active participation from residents, who appreciated the district administration for bringing governance to their doorstep and addressing their concerns in a transparent and responsive manner.
