
POONCH, JANUARY 23: Hundreds of street vendors from Poonch joined virtually and witnessed the live telecast of the PM SVANidhi National Programme addressed by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, who was live from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. During the programme, credit cards and loans were virtually disbursed to one lakh beneficiaries across the country.
At Poonch, the event was chaired by the Deputy Commissioner, Ashok Kumar Sharma, who handed over loan sanction letters to four (04) street vendors and PM SVANidhi credit cards to three (03) beneficiaries.
The programme was attended by the Chief Executive Officer, Municipal Council Poonch, Khalil A. Banday and Lead District Manager, Sanjeev Rasotra.
The CEO briefed the chair about the conduct of the event and informed him about the number of cases sanctioned under different loan tranches of the PM SVANidhi Scheme.
The programme marked an important step towards strengthening livelihoods and promoting financial inclusion among street vendors under the flagship initiative of the Government of India.
