ADC inaugurates Women’s Tailoring Training Programme at SBI RSETI Ramban

RAMBAN, JANUARY 23: Additional Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Varunjeet Singh Charak today inaugurated a 31-day Elective–I Tailor Women’s Garments training programme at SBI RSETI Ramban. The programme aims to promote self-employment and skill development among rural women and will benefit 35 women trainees.

 

The ADC was accorded a warm welcome by the trainees and staff of SBI RSETI Ramban, led by Director S. Harvinder Singh. The programme formally commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, marking the beginning of the training course.

 

Interacting with the trainees, the ADC expressed satisfaction over the dedicated efforts of the Director and staff of SBI RSETI Ramban in imparting quality training and enhancing the confidence of rural women. He encouraged the trainees to remain confident and self-reliant and advised them to actively avail the benefits of various government sponsored self-employment schemes. The ADC also highlighted that the Government of India provides financial assistance of up to ₹10 lakh without collateral under several entrepreneurship and livelihood promotion schemes.

 

Earlier, Director SBI RSETI Ramban briefed the gathering about the institute’s functioning, training modules and its pivotal role in empowering rural youth and women through skill-based and entrepreneurship-oriented programmes. He assured the chief guest that SBI RSETI Ramban would extend all possible support to the trainees during and after the training period to enable them to establish sustainable and income-generating livelihoods.
