
KATHUA, JANUARY 22: As part of the ongoing National Pride – Vande Mataram Campaign, the District Administration Kathua organised a grand and iconic Vishal Torch Rally last evening at the Sports Stadium, attracting thousands of people and reflecting unprecedented public enthusiasm and deep-rooted patriotic spirit.
Students, government employees and members of civil society assembled in unison to express their collective commitment to national unity and pride. Holding torches, the participants marched a complete lap of the Sports Stadium while collectively reciting Vande Mataram, transforming the venue into a vibrant spectacle of patriotism and national fervour.
The Torch Rally was led by Deputy Commissioner, Rajesh Sharma along with Additional Deputy Commissioner, Vishavjeet Singh, district officers and officials. The leadership presence of the district administration added to the significance of the event and reinforced the message of collective responsibility towards upholding national ideals and constitutional values.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner hailed the massive public participation and observed that such large-scale outreach activities play a pivotal role in strengthening patriotism, unity and constitutional consciousness, particularly among the youth. “The Vishal Torch Rally symbolised the enduring spirit of nationalism and the shared resolve of the people to contribute towards a strong, united and progressive India,” he noted.
