
JAMMU, JANUARY 22: The Divisional-level Training and Capacity Building Programme on Digital Crop Survey (DCS) concluded today at the Conference Hall, Directorate of Agriculture Jammu. The programme was organized under the directions of Director Agriculture, Anil Gupta and under the supervision of Joint Director Agriculture (Extension, Sanjay Anand.
On the concluding day, the programme witnessed active participation from 60 district-level, sub-divisional-level and field officers from Kishtwar and Doda districts. The training programme, which commenced on January 2, 2026, recorded participation of about 600 officers from the Agriculture and Horticulture Departments, representing all districts of Jammu Division.
During the programme, Subject Matter Specialist (RL), Dharmesh Vaid and Technical Officer DCS AgriStack, (DoAJ), Sandeep Dogra, imparted hands-on training on the Digital Crop Survey mobile application. The sessions covered key aspects of the Digital Crop Survey including digital data collection, validation processes and integration with the AgriStack framework.
The programme aimed at strengthening the capacity of field functionaries for effective implementation of the Digital Crop Survey, ensuring generation of accurate crop data and facilitating improved planning, monitoring and delivery of agriculture-related services across the Jammu Division.
