Srinagar, August 22, 2025 — In a decisive move against internal threats, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday dismissed two government employees over their alleged links with the banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
The dismissals were carried out under Article 311(2)(c) of the Indian Constitution, which allows termination of a government employee without a departmental inquiry in cases involving the interest of national security.
The Dismissed Employees:Khurshid Ahmad Rather – A government school teacher posted in Karnah, Kupwara district.
Siyad Ahmad Khan – An Assistant Stockman with the Sheep Husbandry Department, posted in Keran, Kupwara district.
According to intelligence and law enforcement agencies, both individuals were found to be actively working for Lashkar-e-Taiba, providing support to terrorist operatives and maintaining contact with anti-national elements. Investigations revealed their involvement in facilitating terror activities and offering various forms of logistical support.
Security agencies presented substantial evidence of their involvement, prompting the administration to act in accordance with its zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism.
In a statement, government officials reaffirmed their commitment to cracking down on all forms of terrorism and separatist support structures, especially within the state machinery. Authorities stressed that no leniency will be shown to individuals found aiding terror networks.
