“Tourists in Pahalgam Were Left to the Mercy of God”: Priyanka Gandhi Slams Government

New Delhi, July 29: The Parliament continued discussions for a second consecutive day on Operation Sindoor, with Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressing the Lok Sabha and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh speaking in the Rajya Sabha. Shah strongly criticized the Opposition and confirmed that all three terrorists involved in the recent Pahalgam attack were neutralized under Operation Mahadev.

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav also launched an attack on the central government, raising concerns over national security.

Joining the debate, Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra accused the government of negligence in ensuring citizens’ safety. “Why was there not a single security personnel present in Baisaran Valley, Pahalgam, at the time of the attack?” she asked. “Is the safety of civilians not the responsibility of the Prime Minister, the Home Minister, and the Defence Minister?”

She further remarked, “People who went to Pahalgam for tourism were left to the mercy of God by the government.”
