Search operation was also carried out on Thursday to nab two to three terrorists hiding in the forest area of Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir. The cordon and search operation is being carried out after an encounter between terrorists and security forces in the densely forested Kanjal Mandu area of Kuchal-Chatru area on Wednesday night.
The help of drones and sniffer dogs is being taken in the operation, as well as the cordon is being further strengthened with the help of additional security forces. Para commandos have also been landed in the area. According to the information, one terrorist is feared to be injured in the encounter. But it is not being confirmed yet. The encounter started when the police with the help of the Army and CRPF started a cordon and search operation in the Kuchal area of Chatru at around 7:45 pm on Wednesday evening after receiving information about the presence of terrorists.
