Keeping in mind the safety of pilgrims during the Amarnath Yatra, the administration has declared several areas in the Yatra route as no fly zone. Amarnath cave area

The holy cave and its surrounding area have been completely declared a no fly zone.

Baltal and Pahalgam route

The two main routes of Amarnath Yatra, Baltal and Pahalgam, have been included in the no fly zone under tight security arrangements.

Route from Jammu to Kashmir Valley

Aerial activities have also been banned on this route to ensure safety during the journey of pilgrims. No type of air flights, such as drones, paragliders or unauthorized helicopter flights will be allowed in the no fly zone areas. Paramilitary forces and security agencies are being deployed in these areas so that the Yatra can be completed completely safely and systematically. The government says that this decision has been taken keeping the safety of the pilgrims paramount, so that they can travel with devotion and peace. This step has been taken at a time when security agencies are alert about the potential threat and making the journey safe in every respect is the government’s priority.
