Death Toll in Ahmedabad Plane Crash Reaches 275.

The death toll in the tragic Ahmedabad plane crash has risen to 275. An order for 170 coffins has been placed to accommodate the large number of bodies. A man from Vadodara revealed that an Air India manager contacted him directly to place the order for the coffins.

Rajneesh Patel, Deputy Civil Superintendent of Ahmedabad Civil Hospital, said on Saturday that DNA cross-verification has been completed for 248 bodies so far, out of which 6 have been matched successfully. He confirmed that the body of Purnimaben Patel has been handed over to her family, and the process is ongoing for another family’s claim. Treatment is underway for 8 injured passengers, with one reported to be in critical condition.

Civil Aviation Minister K. Ram Mohan Naidu, in a press conference, stated that the investigation into the crash began on the very first day. A high-level inquiry committee, led by the Union Home Secretary, has been constituted and is expected to submit its report within three months.
