LG Manoj Sinha Reviews Disaster Management and Pilgrim Facilities in Baltal Ahead of Amarnath Yatra

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday visited the Disaster Management and Pilgrim Accommodation Complex of the Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board located in Baltal, Ganderbal, ahead of the annual Amarnath Yatra.

It is noteworthy that the annual pilgrimage to the holy cave of Shri Amarnath Ji is set to commence this year on July 3. The pilgrimage is conducted via two routes — Baltal and Pahalgam.

During the visit, the Lieutenant Governor reviewed the on-ground preparations and directed officials to ensure timely completion of infrastructure development projects aimed at enhancing facilities for the pilgrims. He also interacted with members of the task force and personnel of the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) engaged in the maintenance and improvement of the Yatra track.

Accompanying the Lieutenant Governor were SJM Gillani, MD of the J&K Police Housing Corporation; Dr. Mandeep K. Bhandari, Principal Secretary to the LG and CEO of the Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board; Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Vijay Kumar Bidhuri; IGP Kashmir V.K. Birdi; Ganderbal Deputy Commissioner Jatin Kishore; and other senior officials.
