The Indian Army’s campaign to destroy the shells fired by Pakistani cannons in the border areas is continuing. There are many enemy shells scattered in the border areas which did not explode after being fired. On Tuesday, the Army destroyed ten live shells in the areas adjacent to the border in Pargalwal of Akhnoor.
The explosions to destroy these shells reminded the border residents of the Pakistani shelling. So far, the bomb disposal squad of the Indian Army has destroyed about 45 mortar shells in Pargalwal of Akhnoor. Heavy shelling was done by Pakistan in Akhnoor and Poonch of Jammu district. In such a situation, as part of the campaign to make these border areas safe, the soldiers of the Army’s Engineering Regiment have destroyed more than a hundred mortar shells so far.
The areas adjacent to the border are being sanitized
The Army and the police are sanitizing the areas adjacent to the border for the safety of the border residents. During enemy shelling, many shells do not explode because they get stuck in the fields in the areas adjoining the border. Later such shells become a threat to the lives of villagers and farmers. Such shells are being searched and destroyed.
The security forces have asked the border residents to remain highly vigilant. 10 live shells fired by Pakistan were found near the international border in the Pargal sector. Engineers of the Tiger Division defused them. After seeing the bombs in their fields, the local residents immediately informed the local police and the army about it.
The Engineer Regiment of the Tiger Division of the Indian Army took immediate action and launched a search operation in the area and recovered 10 live shells hidden in the fields. The army’s bomb disposal squad safely defused all the shells.
