This claim was made by US President Donald Trump. Donald Trump said, ‘After a long conversation at night under the mediation of the US, I am happy to tell that India and Pakistan have agreed to stop the attacks immediately and completely. I congratulate both the countries for taking a decision full of common sense and wisdom.’
India’s Foreign Secretary said – ceasefire happened
30 minutes after Trump’s statement, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri came for a press briefing at 6 pm. He finished his talk in 42 seconds and left. He said – Pakistan’s DGMO called the Indian DGMO at 3:35 pm on Saturday. It was agreed that both sides will stop all kinds of firing and military action on land, air and sea from 5 pm on Saturday afternoon. Both sides have been instructed to implement this consensus. They will talk again on May 12 at 12 noon.
Pakistan also confirmed ceasefire
Pakistan Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said, ‘Pakistan and India have agreed to ceasefire with immediate effect. Pakistan has always strived for peace and security in the region without compromising its sovereignty and territorial integrity.’
