Poonch: A tragic accident took place in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir. A bus went out of control and fell into a ditch here. Four people died in this accident.
Officials said that on Tuesday, a private passenger bus slipped off the road and fell into a ditch in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, killing four people and injuring 44 others.
They said that the bus was going from Ghani village to Mendhar, when the accident took place near Sangra in Mankot area at around 9.20 am. The injured are being rescued.
Officials have identified the deceased as 45-year-old Mohammad Majeed of Ghani village, 55-year-old Shakeela Begum and 60-year-old Noor Hussain of Kasbalari. Majeed, a soldier posted in Assam, had come to his village on leave. Rescue workers found Hussain and Majeed dead on the spot. Eight of the injured are in critical condition.
