Engineer Rashid, MP from Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla constituency, was released from jail on Wednesday. After his release, Rashid, an engineer, said he had nothing to do with anyone. They are not concerned with NDA-India. The people of Jammu and Kashmir have rejected PM Modi. Resolving the issues of Jammu and Kashmir is our issue. PM Modi’s story of ‘Naya Kashmir’ has completely failed in Jammu and Kashmir.
“I am committed to the well-being of my people. We are not going to be scared. My fight is bigger than what Omar Abdullah says. Rashid, an engineer, has been granted interim bail till October 2. Rasheed had moved the court seeking interim bail to campaign in the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections scheduled for September 18, 25 and October 1.
The bail came days before the first phase of polling in Kashmir on September 18. Rashid’s brother is contesting elections. Engineer Rashid is an MP from Baramulla constituency. His brother Khurshid Ahmed is contesting the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Elections 2024 from North Kashmir’s Langate seat as an Awami Ittihad Party (AIP) candidate. Rashid had been a two-time MLA from this seat before he won the Lok Sabha elections against Omar Abdullah.
