Kashmir: National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah hit back at Rajnath Singh’s statement, saying that when we advocate for talks with Pakistan, the BJP criticizes us and calls us Pakistani, but now Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has himself accepted that the government is ready to talk to Pakistan to stop terrorist violence.

Omar Abdullah attacked BJP in Banihal

After addressing a public meeting in support of NC candidate Sajjad Shaheen in Banihal, Omar said that the Defense Minister is talking about talking to Pakistan. We are also saying the same thing. You tell us who is right.

Omar said that Home Minister says they will not talk to Hurriyat Conference, but Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said in a rally on Sunday that he was trying to talk to Hurriyat leaders with a delegation of MPs in 2016. What kind of politics is this? Who is speaking the truth among the two?

He asked BJP leaders to come to J-K and speak the truth, and then leave it to the public to decide who to vote for.

Omar also took a dig at PDP, saying that those who accuse us of being opportunistic had asked people in Kashmir to vote against BJP in 2014. People voted against BJP, but PDP later sat in BJP’s lap. Everyone saw the result, and now everyone is suffering.
