Jammu: The Election Commission on Thursday issued notification for 26 seats in the second phase of Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections. Nominations will be held till September 5 in this phase. Nomination papers will be scrutinized on September 6 and nominations can be withdrawn till September 9. Voting for this phase will be held on September 25.
Preparations for the elections are going on in full swing in the state. The assembly constituencies of the second phase are Ganderbal (Kangan and Ganderbal), Srinagar (Hazratbal, Khanyar, Habbakadal, Lal Chowk, Chhan Pora, Jadiwal, Idgah, Shalteng), Budgam (Khansahib, Charar-e-Sharif, Budgam, Birwar and Chadoora), Poonch (Surankote, Poonch Haveli and Mendhar), Reasi (Gulabgarh, Mata Vaishno Devi and Reasi), Rajouri (Nowshera, Rajouri, Budhal, Thannamandi and Sunderbani).
