Rahul to chair to crucial meeting with J&K leaders in Delhi

SRINAGAR: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is set to preside over a significant meeting in New Delhi tomorrow, which will be attended by top Congress leaders from Jammu and Kashmir. The meeting comes in the wake of the Election Commission of India’s visit to the region.

Insiders in the party told that the invitees including Congress president for Jammu and Kashmir Vikar Rasool, Raman Bhalls, Tariq Hamid Karra, GA Mir, Pirzada Muhammad Sayeed, Ghulam Nabi Monga, Lal Singh and Congress party legal advisor Ashok Bhan.

Insiders said that Rahul Gandhi will seek feedback from local J&K leaders regarding the upcoming elections and the prevailing situation in the region. The leaders are expected to provide their insights and suggestions on how to strengthen the Congress party in Jammu and Kashmir ahead of the Assembly elections.

The meeting is seen as a crucial step in the Congress party’s efforts to revitalize its presence in the region, especially in Jammu Division. With the Assembly elections on the horizon, the party is keen to assess the ground situation and strategize its approach to regain lost ground.

Insiders said that during the meeting the potential candidates for the Assembly elections will also be discussed.
