Jammu: Today, on the 14th of February, 2024, a four-day training session for handling cyber crime cases and capacity building of telecom personnel was held at Zonal Police Head Quarters, Jammu, organised by Cyber Police Station, Jammu Zone.
The Incharge Cyber Police Station, Jammu zone, Shri Kameshwar Puri, briefed the chair about various aspects of the training that will be covered during the four-day training programme.
He highlighted that the participants will be trained in handling cyber crime including bank fraud and social media complaints/cases. The hands-on experience will be provided to the trainees to handle different portals including the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) for missing mobile complaints for effective tracing and blocking of missing mobile phones at the police station level.
Lectures are being organised by the officers of Cyber Police Station Jammu, PC Jammu and CICE, Jammu. The trainees include a team of officers/officials from various districts of Jammu Zone which will augment the Cyber Teams/Cyber Cells in the districts to provide immediate remedy to the victims of cyber frauds. Cyber Police Station shall provide all possible assistance to these newly created cells. These special trainings have been envisaged to meet ever growing challenge of cyber crimes in the UT.
