Jammu: Four old rusty magazines of AK-47 have been found on the side of Jammu-Pathankot National Highway in Jakha, District Samba. As soon as the information was received, the police team reached the spot. Police have taken possession of all four magazines. Along with this, the surrounding area was also searched.
The pond is situated on the banks of National Highway-44 in Jakh of Samba district. When the company working on the highway emptied this pond, weapons were seen in it. The police was immediately informed about this. After this the police reached the spot and took the weapons into their possession.
SSP Samba Benam Tosh also reached the spot and took stock of the situation. While talking to the media, SSP Samba Benam Tosh said that the police have recovered four magazines and rusted cartridges from the spot. The police have taken them into custody and started investigation.
