Jammu: 14 Aug 2023: The vigil of security forces has been increased due to the Independence Day celebrations. Alert has been issued in Jammu and Kashmir to ensure security system. Precautionary steps have been taken to prevent any untoward incident or danger. The monitoring of the movement of vehicles along with the common people has been intensified.
Three -tier security arrangements with helicopters and drones have been installed in Srinagar. Internet services will not be suspended during independence ceremonies. Distinguished SOG personnel of Jammu and Kashmir Police have taken up a front on the area around the Center Lal Chowk in Srinagar city and the main Independence Day celebrations of the valley, Bakshi Stadium.
Additional Director General of Police (Kashmir) Vijay Kumar said, ‘We have made adequate security arrangements. Since many programs are planned this year, we will provide three -tier security. Drone, helicopter will also be monitored. ”He said that the Lieutenant Governor is going to inaugurate the Ghar Ghar project.
Meanwhile, the Special Operation Unit and CRPF of Jammu and Kashmir Police have intensified their surveillance and patrol activities. Check points and barricades have been installed at strategic places. Keep an eye on the movement of people and vehicles.
Apart from this, all the security agencies are also keeping a close watch. All necessary steps are taking to maintain the situation and law and order. Intelligence agencies are working closely with the local people. The administration will gather intelligence and analyze it to fail anyone.
