Tragic road accident in Rajouri, four women killed, eight injured

Rajouri: Four people were killed and eight others were seriously injured in a road accident in Rajouri. The injured have been admitted to the nearest hospital for treatment.
A painful road accident occurred on Tuesday-Wednesday night in Thannamandi area of Rajouri. Four people were killed and eight others were seriously injured in the accident. The injured have been admitted to the nearest hospital for treatment.
According to the information, an eco vehicle carrying the passengers fell into a deep ditch on the Thannamandi -Bhangai road at around 2.30 pm. There were 12 passengers in the vehicle. Three of them died on the spot, while another died in Upjila Hospital Thannamandi. The other injured eight are being treated at Rajouri’s GMC Associated Hospital.

The four deceased were identified by Shamim Akhtar (55), Rubina Kausar (35), Zarina Begum (38) and Muhammad Younis (38) all residents of Bhangai.

Identification of eight seriously injured patients Shaheen Begum (40) wife Muhammad Sadiq, Olive Begum (35) wife Farooq, Shaheen Begum (45) wife Hakam Deen, Begum Jaan (50) wife Fazal Hussain, Fatima Begum (60) wife Muhammad Makhna, Suriya Begum (35) wife Muhammad Qasim and Kulsum Begum (40) wife Barkat Hussain and Muhammad Qasim (60) have been as Ghulam Hussain. All are residents of Bhangai.

Dr. Mahmood H Bazar, Medical Superintendent of GMC Associated Hospital Rajori, said that eight seriously injured patients are undergoing treatment in the hospital. On the other hand, the police have registered a case and started investigation.
