Jammu: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday raided eight places, including the premises of a then aide of former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satyapal Malik. According to sources, it has been raided at eight different places in Jammu and Kashmir and Delhi. This action has been taken in the case related to the alleged insurance scam.
CBI teams carried out a search operation at the residence and other places of the former Governor this morning. Earlier on 28 April, the agency questioned Satya Pal Malik. The inquiry was made at his residence.
Earlier, after retiring as the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Goa, Bihar and Meghalaya, the CBI recorded his statement for the first time in this case in October last year.
What is the matter
Satyapal Malik had alleged that during his being the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, he was offered a bribe of Rs 300 crore to approve two files between 23 August 2018 and 30 October 2019.
