DON’T UNDERESTIMATE ARMY
It is really unfortunate that the opposition is creating ruckus in Parliament over the issue of Chinese PLA’s attempt to change the status in the Yangtse area of Arunachal Pradesh’s Tawang sector on December 9, 2022. These are the testing times for the nation as a whole and therefore instead of decrying the government the opposition and for that matter every single citizen of the country should stand shoulder to shoulder with the government and boost the leadership to take the best possible steps in mitigating the problem. There is no doubt that the Dragon nation has a tendency of grabbing the land of other countries and this expansionist policy of China is known to one and all in the world. Going for pandemonium over this important issue is condemnable act as opposition needs to extend full support to the government in such matters of national security. It is an open secret that borders with Pakistan and China are problematic and pose a great threat to the country but at the same time, the opposition should not forget that Indian army is one of the best armies in the world and its personnel will not allow either China or Pakistan to grab an inch of land from the country. Questioning the army’s role at the borders is nothing but sheer insult to the country and this is uncalled for and unwarranted on the part of those who are cresting chaos in the Parliament over the aforesaid issue. In this context, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh’s statement that army bravely prevented the Chinese PLA’s attempts to unilaterally change the status in the Yangtse area of Arunachal Pradesh’s Tawang sector on December 9 and confronted it with firmness has cleared the things and there is no reason to continue the ruckus in the Parliament. It has also been confirmed by the Defence Minister that no soldier of the army has perished in the confrontation and the injuries received by some of the Jawans are minor and insignificant. The need of the time is that all Indians should stand united against the China and raising doubts on government or army’s ability is not at all advisable, and those who are pointing fingers are doing a great disservice to the nation. Underestimating the army is the biggest sin because it is the army which is securing our borders and such behaviour against the army is not at all acceptable.
