Kathua : Three students died due to drowning in Bhini river of Billawar

Three students died due to drowning in Bhini river at Billawar in Kathua district. Two of them are class XI students of Billawar Higher Secondary School and the third is his friend. Police have started investigating the matter by taking the dead bodies of all three. His bag, school uniform, a cooker and three empty liquor bottles were also found near the place where the bodies were found in the river.

According to the information received, Sheetal Kumar (18) of Jeet Kumar, a resident of Baggan, Pankaj Kumar (17), son of Ramesh Chandra and Pankaj Kumar, son of Roshan Lal, had left their home for school on Thursday, but they did not reach the school. Today, when some people went to the river bank for some work, they saw the clothes and bags of the school children there and then looked around. During this, bodies of three youths were seen in the river. People informed this to BDC chairman Ashok Kumar Spolia. He informed the police.

The police team reached the spot, took out all the three bodies and identified them. Then after searching around, their clothes, bags, cooker and empty liquor bottles were found from one place. Due to this, it is being feared that the three friends must have had fun and eaten and drank near the wet bridge. After that all three of them must have taken off their clothes and gone to bathe in the wet river, but being intoxicated they could not control themselves and drowned in the river. However, the investigation of the entire matter is still going on.

Yesterday, when these three children did not reach their home, their parents were searching for the children at their own level. His missing report had not been lodged yet, but till then the news of the bodies of three students being found spread.
