SPORTS AS NEVER BEFORE
There are many fields and aspects including sports which the inception of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government has transformed in past over eight years as India has started shining in Olympics and many other platforms nationally and internationally. As the PM Modi has said that Indians are zealously taking to sports as a mix of energetic youth and enabling environment, there is no doubt in the fact that the things have been changed drastically in recent times as sports is every youths dream now. As the change is apparent all across the country, the situation in J&K is also promising with UT level sports events taking place all the times, sports edifice getting a brand new shape with stadiums, rinks, rings and swimming pools surfacing in all the district headquarters with Jammu and Srinagar taking the lead as one can see the sea change everywhere. One can say with affirmation that it was PM Modi’s sincere efforts and farsightedness that in just eight years of his tenure the things have seen tremendous change as there is no sports event across the world where Indians are not excelling and proving their mettle. Not much time has passed when the sports in the country used to receive a step-motherly treatment from the government and the people, as parents used to prioritize studies over sports and government was apathetic over the issue thus creating bottlenecks at every step. However, in the past few years, there has been a burgeoning of a sporting culture in the country. The enthusiasm for sports is visible on ground, with more and more players emerging champions at national and international levels and government providing plenty of opportunities in the shape of rewards and reservation in education and jobs. PM Modi’s sustained effort to inculcate a sporting culture among people at large is in front of everybody and the results in sporting arenas both at national and international platforms speak louder than words that India has been transformed by the policies adopted by PM Modi and the time has come to lead the world without looking back.
