Non-locals get voting rights in J&K; Mehbooba Mufti says ‘Kashmir has become a laboratory for BJP’

Peoples Democratic Party President and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Thursday urged all non-BJP parties to come on one platform, saying that after the 2024 parliamentary elections, the BJP will also abolish the Indian Constitution. Not only this, instead of the national flag, the tricolor will also do saffron flag.

The PDP President made these allegations while interacting with journalists at his residence here today. Mehbooba objected to giving the right to vote to citizens of other states residing in Jammu and Kashmir and said that she has also approached National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah to decide the future course of action on this.

Mehbooba Mufti, while addressing reporters in the presence of party general secretary Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura and party’s chief spokesperson Suhail Bukhari, said that non-state citizens, who will not even have domicile here, can cast their votes, it is unfair and it is completely In a way, there is a conspiracy to make the people of Jammu and Kashmir politically weak. The water has now gone above the head. Now here policy decisions are taken not in the national interest but in the political interest of the BJP.

The PDP president said that the entire country is witness to how elections are being rigged in different parts of the country. Not only before the elections, even after the elections, the BJP misuses the government machinery in its favor. BJP does not want to convert this country into a Hindu nation but into a BJP nation. The way the BJP removed Article 370 in an unconstitutional and illegal manner, the way the dignity of the national constitution has been violated, it has happened only under the political agenda of the BJP. After abolishing the special status of Jammu and Kashmir, BJP has sold Jammu and Kashmir all over the country.
