A sudden grenade exploded near the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. In this, an army captain and a junior commissioned officer were killed and five other soldiers were injured in the accident. Officials gave this information on Monday.
Army PRO said that the incident took place in Mendhar sector of Poonch late on Sunday night. Army personnel were on duty when the incident took place. He said the injured were immediately airlifted to Udhampur for treatment. Army Captain Anand and Naib-Subedar (JCO) Bhagwan Singh succumbed during treatment.
