ARMY SAVIOUR
In yet another incident, the army has proved again that there is no match to this force which always emerges successful in whatever situation it has to pass through. This time the army’s Tiger Division played a vital role in averting a major fire which could have affected the most strategic rail link connecting J&K with the rest of the country. Reportedly, the Tiger Division troops of the Indian Army averted a major fire incident near Bari Brahmana in the Samba district of the UT. The prompt action by the troops of Tiger Division assisted the civil administration in controlling any further spread of fire thus giving the sigh of relief to Railways Authorities as the probable fire spread could have led to disruption in railway traffic on the Jammu- Pathankot main line which is quite significant as far as defence, commercial and passenger movement is concerned. The army has time and again lived up to the expectations of the people of the nation through its phenomenal valour, heroism, sacrifice and fortitude. It not only stands vigil along the border but the troops under its realms are always ready for any sacrifice so that the people of the country may live in peace and with honour. In the situations which are beyond the scope of other agencies, there comes the army and never in the history, it has disappointed the nation as the case today when the brave soldiers came into action and stopped the inferno averting any kind of mishap. This endeavour of the Indian Army is just a small example because the noble initiatives taken up by army for the welfare of the populace are endless and besides securing borders, the army is looking after people covering all spheres of life. The Army is committed to ‘people-friendly’ operations to win the hearts of people in Jammu and Kashmir who have fallen prey to proxy war. Army in total consonance with the civil administration and Central and UT police forces is doing whatever is possible to give succour to people. It is this collective effort that brought peace and tranquility in the region which has long been in turmoil.
