TAME TERRORISTS
Whatever the security forces are doing to contain terror attacks in Valley seems to be inadequate because the terror mongers have been targeting people at their will without any fear of law as two precious lives have been snatched away in just two days making it amply clear that security is required to be augmented to stop the vicious cycle of violence in Valley. There is no doubt that after the abrogation of Article 370 killings of Hindus and people from outside the UT in Kashmir has gone up with the trend going on till date as yesterday only a Kashmiri Pandit employee was killed in broad daylight. Nevertheless, the majority community in Kashmir is also not spared by the terrorists as many people belonging to this community have also faced the brunt of terrorism, like the case of the constable of Jammu and Kashmir Police, who has succumbed to his injuries after being shot at by terrorists in Pulwama district. Looking into atrocities of the terrorists, the locals in the Valley have turned hostile and under the changed scenario providing information about the terrorists to security forces as and when they received the same but what is more important now is to stop the killings of the people which has become a norm these days as many people have lost their lives in J&K after being targeted by the terrorists. As the situation has turned grim in Kashmir, the government should revisit its policy on providing security to the vulnerable sections in the places where there are chances of such attacks. By killing the people of Hindu community, the terror mongers want to give a message that Kashmir is not terrorism-free yet. This kind of action by the terrorists is crucial for the future of J&K as Amarnath Yatra is on cards and also tourist season in Valley is in peak. It will be advisable for the government to increase manifold the presence of central security forces to ensure security of the common man and that of visitors who have thronged Kashmir after decades giving a message to the world that peace has returned. This feeling of normalcy is disturbing the anti-India brigade and that is the reason behind such cowardice acts of killing innocents and unguarded people in Valley. Taming the terrorists as early as possible should be the goal of the government because India cannot afford turmoil to continue in Kashmir under the changed circumstances.
