GOOD ADVICE

GOOD ADVICE

Whatever has been said by Senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister of J&K Ghulam Nabi Azad on the auspicious occasion of Eid has much significance as far as politics of the country is concerned. The advice by the former CM of J&K shows his sincerity towards democracy and the welfare of the people. He surely has risen above politics while saying that Kashmiriyiat is intact and once a popular government will be established in J&K things will become much more soothing as LG’s administration cannot fully satiate the aspirations of the people. Showing the world that he is a seasoned politician having a broad mind as far as party politics is concerned and his approach remained universal and people oriented as is apparent from his statement on the day of Eid. He has batted for early Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, which is the need of the time and already PM Narendra Modi and HM Amit Shah have assured that the polls are going to happen soon after the completion of Delimitation exercise. Azad has maintained that if elections happen in Jammu and Kashmir and the power is given in the hands of people, then the atmosphere will become conducive for peace, prosperity and progress. There is no doubt that Azad knows the pulse of the people and therefore his advice should be taken very seriously by one and all. He is an apostle of peace and harmony because never in his political career he had ever raised a controversy with any of the political parties showing that he is mature politically, socially and in all other aspects also. As the Congress leader has given advice without considering or giving priority to his own party therefore the government should also reciprocate in a positive manner as it is likely that the Delimitation Commission will be submitting its report in the coming days. The government should come up with an election schedule as soon as possible because it is good for the UT to have a popular government in place so that people’s problems and issues can be addressed on priority.
