NEEDFUL STEP

NEEDFUL STEP

The Jammu and Kashmir State Investigation Agency (SIA) has taken a necessary step by tightening the noose around anti-national entities as this is important to give a lesson of life to those who are working against the interests of the country. In this context, the arrest of PhD scholar of the University of Kashmir Abdul Aala Fazili who has written a provocative and seditious article in an online magazine ‘The Kashmir Walla’ is the right step to deter others from indulging into such anti India stance which has the potential to create unrest in the country especially in Kashmir. The successive dispensations allegedly used to allow such elements to do whatever they want but now the BJP Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is very particular to tighten the noose around such elements who were earlier given long rope to act, speak or write against India. It is good that SIA is proactive and currently taking extensive steps to act against the terror and anti-national networks. It is pertinent to mention that the SIA has been assigned with the duty of investigation and prosecution of terror-related cases. Fazili’s article titled ‘The shackles of slavery will break’, was seditious and intended to create unrest in Jammu and Kashmir by abetting the youth to take the path of violence by glorifying terrorism. Reportedly, the article in question also promoted and propagated the false narrative, which is essential to sustain secessionist-cum-terrorist campaign aimed at breaking the territorial integrity of India. No nation across the world would allow any of its citizens to do this kind of misadventure and sway the people to act against the country because the aforesaid article has reportedly used prescriptive language with instructional intent, encouraging secessionist elements to carry out terror activities. There is dire need to monitor such contents and take action against those who have no fear of law and law implementing agencies in the country. The law will take its own course in the present case but the concerned departments should disseminate information among all the publishers of newspapers and magazines to take care of such incidents and don’t allow publishing anything which can have deleterious effects on the national interest.
