40 lakh rupees recovered from Kathua man

Gangyal police have caught a man from Kathua with cash worth Rs 40 lakh. After interrogation, the police handed over the matter to the Income Tax Department for investigation.

On Friday, when the police were conducting a blockade to investigate the former minister Babu Singh case, it caught Bhanu Pratap Singh of Kathua near Gangyal. Cash worth Rs 40 lakh was recovered from him. During interrogation, it was found that he had taken this money from Jagjit Singh, a resident of Gandhi Nagar. Jagjit Singh has a liquor shop in this area.

He told the police that with this money, both of them had to open stone crushers in partnership in Kathua. In the matter, Gangyal police station in charge Joginder Chib said that the Income Tax Department had been asked to investigate the matter. The department will inquire how and from where these people got this money. It is possible that to avoid income tax, there is an attempt to put the money into some other work.
