Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh has reacted to PDP President Mehbooba Mufti’s statement about talks with Pakistan during a program on Sunday. Dr. Jitendra Singh said that talks with Pakistan can be done only when the sound of guns and bullets coming from there will stop. He said, ‘Should the BJP talk to the people of its own country or the people settled on foreign soil? Talks (with Pakistan) can happen only when the sound of guns and bullets stops.
On Saturday, PDP President Mehbooba Mufti had said during a youth conference at Dak Bungalow in Ramban that peace cannot be maintained in the Kashmir Valley without talks with Pakistan. Mehbooba blamed the BJP-led central government for siphoning off the resources of the Chenab Valley. Said that this government has not given any benefit to the people of the valley. Unemployment, inflation in Jammu and Kashmir is at all-time high.
