SRINAGAR: The Srinagar-Sonamarg-Leh highway has been closed for vehicular traffic after the area received fresh snowfall, officials said. As per the official twitter handle of Jammu and Kashmir traffic Police, “Traffic plying smoothly on Jammu-Srinagar NHW, Mughal road, SSG road closed for vehicular movement in view of fresh snowfall and Sinthan road still blocked due to snow accumulation”. The Jammu-Srinagar national highway and Mughal road connecting the twin districts Poonch and Jammu are open for vehicular moment as per the schedule. On Saturday ahead of the prediction of snowfall, the administration has closed the Bandipora-Gurez road for traffic as a precautionary measure.
