Court awards 12 years RI and fine 2 lacs in NDPS case

JKUT (Jammu), November-25-2021-( JNF):-  Principal Sessions Judge Udhampur YP Bourney today awarded 12 years rigorous imprisonment and fine Rs 2 lacs to Majid Khan in heroine smuggling case.

          According to the prosecution case that accused Majid Khan accused had stood trial on the charge of having been caught red-handed while holding and transporting illegal contraband narcotic drugs psychotropic substance heroine in commercial quantity weighing 10.860 KG on March 25, 2013, while he was travelling in public transport vehicle from Srinagar to Jammu.

           Principal Sessions Judge Udhampur YP Bourney after hearing APP Himanshu Parkash for the prosecution whereas Advocates NA Ronga and Naveen Gaur for the accused persons observed that prosecution has succeeded in proving the charges against the accused and accused is convicted for the commission of offence u/s 8/22 (c) NDPS Act and awarded 12 years RI and fine Rs 2 lacs. JNF
