DC Jammu discusses finalization of DPR for Cluster Tribal Model Villages, reviews B2V3 works

JAMMU, JUNE 16: District Development Commissioner, Anshul Garg today chaired a meeting to discuss the finalization of DPRs for Cluster Tribal Model Villages under Special Central Assistance to Tribal Sub Scheme, besides reviewing the pace of progress on B2V3 works.

The district administration has proposed the development of cluster model villages comprising Hindwal, Dhoung, Bagani, Sarote, Dhanoo, Aurhak and Keri under the said scheme.

ADDC Ramesh Chander; CPO Yoginder Katoch besides senior officers of the concerned departments were present in the meeting.

A threadbare discussion was held in the meeting regarding the finalization of DPRs for the cluster model villages.

The DDC said that the DPRs should envisage the provision for modern basic amenities, Education, Health, Skill Development, promotion of Horticulture, Agriculture, Dairy, development of Tourism infrastructure and generating self- employment avenues for tribal population in the areas.

He stressed on laying focus on developmental programmes in consonance to their occupational pattern and for increasing the productivity and the income from their limited resources.

He directed the departments to submit the DPRs for the projects within two days so that work on the works can be started within the shortest possible time to benefit the tribal population.

Later, the Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the status of works under Back to Village 3.

The Deputy Commissioner asked the concerned departments to start the allotted works by Monday and allot the remaining works after tendering as soon as possible.

Garg directed the officers and executing agencies to ensure completion of all works within the stipulated time frame and stressed for regular field visits to ensure works are executed on time and as per set quality parameters.

He asked the officers to work in coordination and gear up men and machinery for achieving the set targets in time and adding vibrancy in the departmental functioning.
